Simone Keijzer is CEO and co-founder of Gearbox. Gearbox supports growers, breeders and traders in ensuring quality and working more efficiently by using vision, machine learning and robotics. Born and raised in Westland, the Netherlands, her roots lie in agriculture. With a passion for user-friendliness, smart technology and 'green fingers', the Gearbox team is growing rapidly. Started in 2016, the team now has more than 30 Gearboxers, ranging from mechanical engineers and AI developers to robotics specialists and data analysts. Gearbox is developing the next generation of horticultural workers, including a quality inspector, cultivation inspector, packaging assistant and harvesting assistant. Today, Simone presents the latest addition to the Gearbox product family: GearRover. This digital harvesting assistant shows greenhouse harvesters in real time which roses are ready to be harvested.
